Book Review: Married ’til Monday

Married ‘til Monday

Author: Denise Hunter

Paperback: 320 pages

Series: A Chapel Springs Romance (Book 4)

Publisher: Thomas Nelson (June 9, 2015)

With a big anniversary party in the works for his ex-wife’s parents, Ryan has just one weekend to play Abby’s husband . . . and win back the woman of his dreams.

Ryan McKinley has tried to move on from his ex-wife, Abby. He’s sulked, he’s gotten angry, and ultimately he bought her dream house. Big mistake. Living alone in the massive two-story has only made him miss her more. When her parents call him out of the blue about their anniversary party in Summer Harbor, Maine, Ryan believes God has dropped a golden opportunity straight in his lap.

Abby McKinley never exactly told her parents about the divorce. A strained relationship with her dad has culminated in a distant relationship with her parents, but she’s finally succumbed to her mom’s pressure to make the drive for their 35th-anniversary party.

Then Ryan shows up on her doorstep, looking as handsome as ever. When he insists he’s going to Summer Harbor, with or without her, Abby knows she can’t say no. Her parents still think they’re married and now Ryan knows it too. It’s just a one-week road trip with the man who broke her heart. What could possibly go wrong?

What Others Are Saying:

Hunter concludes her series with this tale of love and hope as Ryan McKinley sees a chance to rekindle his relationship with the ex-wife he still adores. –Library Journal Married ’til Monday has all the components that a romance lover craves, including a hero that digs deeper than the exterior to reveal a soft, hurting woman underneath the tough, you-don’t-want-to-love-me, I’ve-got-too-much-baggage facade. Save a chunk of time because you won’t want to put this gem down! –Fiction, Faith & Foodie “From the gorgeous image of intimate love on its cover to the final pages, the book shines with the purest kind of emotion. Forgiveness, flirty banter and hilarity, emotional tumult and family all co-mingle to make this one of my favorite reads of 2015.”  –Dreaming Under the Same Moon

I completely fell in love with the entire McKinley family from the very beginning, and I was so looking forward to reading oldest brother Ryan’s story. This book was such an awesome conclusion to the Chapel Springs Romance series! It was total amazingness from start to finish! Caitlyn S.

My Review:

Get ready for this swoon-worthy romance by the fabulous Denise Hunter. Get ready for that moment when you kick your legs in glee and can’t stop smiling. Get ready for this fantastic novel! Although, this is the fourth book in the series I was able to read this book as a standalone book.  I will definitely go back and read the other books in this series. This book is all about second chances. The characters are relatable and you want them to succeed. While there is plenty of romance, Denise Hunter touches on some hard and serious issues. She handles these issues very well and in a way that pulls you right into the lives of the characters. I highly recommend this novel!

I received this book free from the publisher through the booklook bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

Happy Reading!
